Recently, I found a band called "of monsters and men" which is come from Iceland in Europe. I knew another band come from Iceland, too, called "Sigur Rós". I fell their styles are a little similar. It is a kind of far-away-from-the-city style. It may because Iceland is isolated from the Europe-Asia mainland, and it has a part of territory within the Polar Circle. "Of monsters and men" is composed of one female and five males, and their music style is indie folk and indie pop. One of my favorite songs is the one in the Youtube top100, "little talks"(http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ghb6eDopW8I), and the other one is "six weeks"(http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SBtnnZX_jDU). I like the folk atmosphere in these two songs. It makes me feel just in the countryside and relaxed me a lot!
This week, our department is going to go camping. Hope everything goes well and I won't get sick in those days.
Wow these two songs are really amazing!! I love the singers’ voice, it’s beautiful and make me feel peaceful. It’s glad to know the songs from your blog, hope you can share more and more great songs with us :) I have listened to few foreign songs, so it’s new to me to listen to different kinds of music. My department went camping last weekend, too. How was your camp? Did you have good time? I had a lot of fun in those two days, it was really amazing!! The weather is getting cold and cold, be careful of yourself ^_^
回覆刪除I am curious about the meaning of far-away-from-the-city style, it means unreal or natural? Maybe it give you a feeling of away from reality.
回覆刪除I also like to listen to music, no matter what kinds of music, as long as I like to hear. The band's music gives the feeling of a kind of magic and this feeling I never had before, and now I am looking forward to your Introduction of the others song.
